Our little shop is currently located in Southern Connecticut with plans to open a physical shop in Marlboro, Vermont within the next year. A small family business made from love and creativity we enjoy crafting with natural and sustainable materials especially. The Country Bear floral arrangements (Bear Petals...) clearly represent my distinct style and unique design which has blossomed & transformed slowly into a successful business.

What exactly are sola wood flowers?
Sola (or 'shola') wood flowers are made from a plant called Aeschynomene aspera (rolls off the tongue, right? No wonder they're simply called 'sola'!). It's a plant that grows wild in marsh areas. Because it grows quickly, it is a renewable resource and one of the lightest known woods.
These Beautiful flowers are natural, sustainable and biodegradable. Popularity is growing using wood flowers for weddings since they can be dyed any color, and last a lifetime for a keepsake of that special day. Being soft and pliable with a cork like feel to them as well they are so easy to work with and maintain. Using a proper ratio of glycerin and water softens and fluffs the flower in order to keep them from drying and possibly becoming brittle, we use this softener combined with various scented essential oils which are available for purchase.
Our wood flower gallery shows many of the flowers I generally keep in stock, with so many varieties available that can be ordered through my wholesale vendor, they usually ship quickly so keep in mind that if you have seen a flower elsewhere that is not in my gallery we can most likely get it for you. If you are planning an event please allow two or three months advance notice. If a single bouquet, boutonniere or arrangement is needed usually two weeks notice is sufficient. Cost varies greatly, estimates can be supplied but you can expect to spend roughly the same as you might for fresh flowers, but do remember that these flowers will last a lifetime!
